Sprint begins to prep for the Treo 700wx

Posted in Tech by Dan at 2:52 pm

SprintTreo700wxSpecs We love Treos and it isn’t a secret. Derek used to use one (why he isn’t anymore is beyond me) while Chad (700w) and I (700p) still do. And I am sure that the launch of the 700wx on Sprint is going to make Chad a bit angry.

The Treo 700wx (Take a guess at what the X might mean) according to the now leaked spec sheet will have twice the RAM (64MB available user storage) of Verizon’s Treo 700w. And the rumored price of the unit without a contract is $649. All signs also hint that the 700wx will follow a similar pricing scheme as the 700p on Sprints network.

Besides the memory bump the 700wx will share similar specs with the 700w with its 240×240 display, Bluetooth, EVDO, 1.3MP camera, GPS, and will allow DUN.

On a side note, it has also been confirmed the 700 series will never have a GSM counterpart, rather a new Treo 750p and Treo 750w, will be made available only on GSM networks, and they will not have an antenna.
